Where do I find my insurance contract number?

The contract (or policy) number is at the top of the annual renewal notice, on the insurance certificate and in the header of every letter from the insurer.

Where to find it online

  • Insurer's customer area or app → “Mes contrats”: each contract (car, home, health) has its own number.
  • It is asked for to report a claim, cancel or get a certificate.

If you have lost it

  • Call the insurer with your name, your date of birth and the insured address or registration number: they will find the contract.
  • The bank statement shows the name of the insurer being debited, useful if you no longer remember who you are insured with.
