Where do I find my car insurance claims record statement?

The record statement (“relevé d'information”) is provided by your car insurer on request within 15 days; it is also sent automatically when the contract is cancelled.

Where to find it online

  • Insurer's customer area → “Mes documents” or “Demander un relevé d'information”.
  • It is essential to take out a policy with a new insurer: it shows your bonus-malus and your claims.

If you have lost it

  • Ask the insurer (or the former insurer) again: it must be provided free of charge within 15 days.
  • If the insurer does not reply, a registered letter is proof of your request; you can then refer the matter to the insurance ombudsman.
