Where do I find my reference tax income?

The reference tax income (RFR) is written on the first page of your latest income tax notice, in the “Vos références” box.

Where to find it online

  • Personal account on impots.gouv.fr → “Documents” → latest income tax notice (PDF).
  • The income tax filing statement (ASDIR), available as soon as the return is completed, also shows the RFR.
  • Many procedures ask for it: grants, social housing, canteen fees, energy voucher, loans.

If you have lost it

  • Download the notice or the ASDIR again from your personal account.
  • Without internet, your local tax office (centre des finances publiques) gives you a copy of the notice if you show an ID.
